On the 16th and 17th of October, Goca Consulting taught the Foreign Suppliers Verification Programmes (FSVP) Course at Extenda’s facilities in Almería. The training was led by José Luis Gómez Carrasco, our technical director and FSPCA Lead Instructor, and ten agri-food companies participated. This FSVP course is of special interest for US importers as well as for exporting companies, since they will have comply with FSMA-related import requirements affecting their importers in the USA.
FSMA requires that exporters and importers of food or food ingredients perform certain activities to verify that foods imported into the United States comply with applicable food safety standards.
