La Ley de Modernizaci\u00f3n de la Seguridad Alimentaria de la FDA<\/strong> (FSMA<\/strong>)\u00a0 permite a la FDA<\/strong> proteger mejor la salud p\u00fablica ayudando a garantizar la seguridad del suministro de alimentos. Requiere que la FDA<\/strong> promulgue reglas de inocuidad de los alimentos que se centren en prevenir problemas de inocuidad de los alimentos en lugar de detectar problemas y reaccionar ante ellos despu\u00e9s de que ocurran. FSMA<\/strong> reconoce que la FDA<\/strong> ha establecido previamente una regulaci\u00f3n de tipo de control preventivo para el pescado y los productos pesqueros (T\u00edtulo 21 CFR parte 123, HACCP<\/strong> de mariscos) basada en el concepto de An\u00e1lisis de Peligros y Puntos Cr\u00edticos de Control (HACCP<\/strong>) . Adem\u00e1s, la regulaci\u00f3n HACCP<\/strong> de pescados y mariscos requiere que los importadores de ciertos productos del mar cumplan con los requisitos dise\u00f1ados para ayudar a garantizar que estos productos importados se procesen de acuerdo con la regulaci\u00f3n HACCP<\/strong> de pescados y mariscos.<\/span><\/p>\n

Es importante destacar que varias de las reglamentaciones que la FDA<\/strong> ha emitido en virtud de la FSMA<\/strong> brindan exenciones relacionadas con la reglamentaci\u00f3n HACCP<\/strong> de pescados y mariscos.\u00a0Esta gu\u00eda, emitida por primera vez en agosto de 2017, aborda esas exenciones y tambi\u00e9n proporciona informaci\u00f3n sobre la regulaci\u00f3n HACCP<\/strong> de pescados y mariscos en relaci\u00f3n con las regulaciones de FSMA<\/strong>.<\/span><\/p>\n

Aunque no es el tema de esta gu\u00eda, tambi\u00e9n notamos que algunos productos del mar tambi\u00e9n est\u00e1n sujetos a 21 CFR parte 113 (Alimentos bajos en \u00e1cido procesados t\u00e9rmicamente empacados en recipientes sellados).\u00a0Ciertas reglamentaciones de la FSMA<\/strong> brindan exenciones adicionales relacionadas con la parte 113.<\/span><\/p>\n
