New PCQIs in Inés Rosales

On 14, 15 and 16 May we gave the PCQI course at Inés’s Rosales facilities. A total of 8 students attended the training in controls for processed foods organized by GOCA Consulting.

Article published by the Government of Aragon following the last PCQI course given by Goca Consulting Services in the Chamber of Commerce of Zaragoza on 3, 4, and 5 April 2019.

The Food Safety Modernization Act (FSMA) is the food safety legislation passed by the U.S. in 2016 that changes the existing approach from reacting to problems caused by food purchased from other countries to preventing them. One of the main novelties of this law is that it requires the exporting company to have a qualified individual who is responsible for food safety manuals and is recognised by the FDA (Food and Drug Administration), as Qualified Individual in Preventive Controls.

José Luis Gómez, trainer of GOCA Consulting Services, was in the Chamber of Commerce of Zaragoza to train a group of agro-food sector staff in Preventive Controls for Human Food (PCHF) and told us how companies should prepare themselves to comply with this regulation…

End of the training cycle organized by Extenda

The PCQI training given on 19, 20 and 21 February in Almeria ended to the 2018 training cycle organized by Extenda I have given by Goca Consulting The course of Preventive controls for human food has been imparted by our Technical Director José Luis Gómez Carrasco. A group of 20 participants made possible the development of a dynamic and enriching theoretical-practical training.

GOCA Consulting successfully completed Extenda’s food safety training at its facilities in Almeria. and Seville. This training cycle is encompassed in terms of security food processing, control of importers, fresh products, etc. and sea products.

All the courses given by GOCA Consulting allow you to obtain certificates of professionalism. recognized by the FDA.

GOCA offers PCQI training course for the agro-food sector

GOCA Consulting has given the training course for Preventive Controls Qualified Individual (PCQI) at the facilities of Extenda. It has been an opportunity for the agri-food sector to become familiar with the US regulations of the FDA / FSMA. This course helps companies meet the PCQI training requirements under FSMA.

A total of 17 Andalusian companies have attended the PCQI training consistent with the standardized curriculum recognized by the FDA and have shared knowledge and experiences through a participatory methodology. It has been a fulfilling experience for all attendees.

Workshop on FDA labelling requirements

A total of 24 agri-food companies learned about FDA’s new labelling requirements during the course of a technical workshop organized by the Consejería de Economía y Conocimiento, through its agency Extenda-Agencia Andaluza de Promoción Exterior, in Sevilla.

The session was led by Itzíar Gómez Carrasco, from GOCA Consulting Services, consultant in International Development with experience working as researcher and certificates in HACCP (Hazard Analysis of Critical Control Points), GMPs (Good Manufacturing Practices), GAPs (Good Agricultural Practices) and Preventive Controls for Human Food-PCQI (FSMA) by the Food Safety Preventive Controls Alliance (FSPCA).
