The FDA continues to work to improve the implementation of the FDA’s Food Safety Modernization Act (FSMA) by creating a more digital documentation system (Big Data), traceable, safer and with an unbeatable speed of traceability of products. The latest tests were surprising and managed to trace a product from its origin to its destination in record time: 2.2 seconds compared to the 7 days of the traditional system.

Thanks to the FSMA regulation and the digitization of documentation, new information crossing systems are being implemented. Allowing the FDA to work preventively to protect consumers from contaminated food.
